A twist-off cap means that the cap screws around the thread of the glass jar, turning 360 degrees. These caps are different from twist-off caps, which instead make only half a turn before they reach the end of their stroke. The twist-off cap, for example, is the one for pickles and often makes a noise (clack) when opening.

The Bormioli Quattro Stagioni Screw Cap is a fully compatible product. The 70 millimetre diameter allows compatibility with 250 gram and 500 gram jars. The 86 millimetre diameter is compatible with 1000 gram jars.
