Cleaning the pasta machine
Cleaning the pasta machine is essential! This applies in general to all pasta machines, but particularly to Pasta Presto and all pasta machines with a motor.
The first reason is food contact. When you have finished using the machine, it is a good idea to clean the machine and the area that comes into contact with foodstuffs thoroughly with a wet cloth or soaked in a little spirit. This allows prevent the formation of bacteria and mould in areas where sheet residues may accumulate.
It is also a good idea to buy a kitchen brush to pass between the rollers of the sheeter and the dies. This prevents residues of the sheet from remaining inside the machine. For this reason, it is important to brush both the top and the bottom. Underneath the machine, in the recess, you have to clean gently because there are scrapers that can get damaged.
In fact, the second reason why it is important to carry out this type of cleaning is theefficiency of use over time same. The paste residues dry out in contact with air and become like small pebbles. If they remain in the rollers or between the rollers and the scrapers, the next time the machine is switched on, it is as if there were pebbles. The machine would start up and you would run the risk of breaking the scrapers or the rollers themselves!
These problems are unfortunately not covered by the warranty! Therefore, there are two good reasons for cleaning our Imperia pasta machine correctly!
