Reber electric tomato squeezer No. 5 HP 0.40 500 Watt 9004NIP is a high quality and powerful tomato squeezer.
In fact, it consists of a 500 watt motor that generates 0.40 horsepower. This allows the machine to be used in any situation. In fact, the REBER 9004NIP expresses its best performance under full load and stress.
Consequently, thanks to its high power, this product is also ideal for use as a meat grinder. The motor of the REBER 9004NIP can be used with size 12 mincing accessories, both in stainless steelboth in tin-plated cast iron. In fact, for use with larger mincers, we recommend more powerful motors! In addition to being used as a tomato press, this product can easily be used to make jam. In this case, it may be useful to buy some filter cones with smaller or larger holes than the one supplied (depending on the type of recipe to be made).

Winged version or fairing version?
This product is a finned version. What does this mean? It means that the engine in the photo is not covered by any fairing, i.e. by any component that protects it from the outside. It is also fitted with a fan cover, i.e. the plastic rear part that covers the fan that cools the engine.
ElettroWebStore also has Reber motors with fairing, possibly with all-steel gears. These motors are better because, in addition to having stronger gears, they do not have a plastic fan cover but have the entire motor body covered by a practical stainless steel casing. Differences between engine wattage and engine HP horsepower
The power of REBER motors is typically expressed in watts. The wattage of the motors generally indicates the amount of power in Watts that the motor absorbs from the electrical system. Multiplying this instant value by the hours gives the current absorption in Watts/hour.
Conversely, the expression of power in HP, i.e. motor horsepower, indicates how much power motors are able to transform into work. The greater the power absorbed from the mains into work, the greater the motor's power. In fact, many motors, while absorbing a lot of power from the mains, are not very powerful. This is because they absorb energy but do not transform it into work, but rather disperse it, typically in heat and internal rotor rotation useless for the application they are designed for.
REBER No.5 motors, in fact, have a 4-pole electrical winding and make half as many revolutions per minute (1400) as many competitors. This implies that, for the same absorbed current (500 watts), the REBER motor has a better output. In fact, it transforms more energy into work, dispersing less of it in heat.
Painted cast iron body, not plastic
The body of the REBER 9004NIP is made entirely of cast iron, not plastic. Cast iron, of course, takes the strain much better. It is harder and less deformable. Inside, the body is painted with high-temperature baked epoxy paint. This ensures that the paint can withstand more abrasion, adhering better to the cast iron.
The paints used, unlike cheaper products of other brands, are certified to be suitable for food contact.
Acetal resin inner propeller, not aluminium or cast iron

In fact, this material guarantees perfect resistance to the acids typically contained in tomatoes and sauces. In contrast, materials such as cast iron and aluminium do not have these properties. They, in fact, release ferrous substances to the sauces. For this reason, it is important not to buy substandard products or products that do not have these properties as well.
Accessories made entirely of 18/10 AISI 304 stainless steel

Red cap and black cap on the engine: should they be changed or not?
For those who have been familiar with REBER tomato squeezer engines for some time, you will be faced with the Hamletic question: should the red motor cap be changed or not? Why is the black ventilation cap no longer included? How do I carry out the replacement that used to have to be done?
This simple question is now answered: the red cap no longer needs to be changed! And why is it no longer changed? Simply because the black plug that came with it was a plug with a breather. It had to be replaced with the red cap because the lubricated oil contained in the flange and greasing the gears tended to expand and produce small amounts of fumes. This, in the past, created an increase in pressure inside the engine and could create problems.
Well, today all these problems are gone because theREBER engine gear lubricating oil has been replaced with an oil that no longer produces these problems. Therefore, the red cap that only served to close the flange and prevent oil from escaping during transport no longer needs to be replaced!
