Tomato twist-off capsule glass jar closure is the ideal stopper for sealing standard glass jars (domestic glass) with a 'clack' closure. The cap is universal and fully compatible with glass jars on the market. This type of closure is very economical and specific for canning jars.

This cap is designed for capping glass jars and bottles manually. It is not designed for mechanical use. It does not have the central balloon that swells after boiling (present in industrial packs, which you buy in supermarkets!).

This cap is not to be confused with the screw-off cap, i.e. the one that screws around the thread of the glass jar, turning 360 degrees. Twist-off caps make only half a turn before they reach the end of their stroke. The twist-off cap, for example, is the one for pickles and often makes a noise (clack) when opening. These caps are specifically for manually closing jars. Do not force too hard! Closure is achieved when the cap reaches the end of its stroke. If you force the cap too hard, it risks becoming deformed and there is a risk of the cap opening during boiling!
