What the extended warranty is for

For customers defined as end consumers, the legal warranty provided by the manufacturer is generally 24 months from the date of purchase. For VAT holders, the legal warranty is 12 months.

The legal guarantee applies to conformity defects that are not related to the use of the product.
With the extended warranty, the duration of the warranty initially offered by the manufacturer is extended to an additional 36 months.

 

Is the extended warranty offered by the manufacturer of the purchased item?

No, the extended warranty up to a further 36 months is offered by an external insurance company.

When the legal warranty period offered by the manufacturer expires, generally through the Technical Assistance Centres throughout the country, the warranty extension is activated under the conditions stated here.
