PTFE is a plastic derivative suitable for contact with foodstuffs. It is of particular strength in order to guarantee excellent drawing quality. Compared to bronze dies, PTFE dies are preferred when a smoother and more transparent dough is desired. Conversely, bronze drawing tends to produce a rougher and more consistent dough.

How are the dies applied?
The bronze dies for La Monferrina press units have a circular shape and are easily and immediately applied at the front of the press unit.
This is secured by means of a special spanner supplied, which engages in the two slots on the side of the die. Simply tighten and the die is mounted. By turning in the opposite direction, the die can be removed.
